Torn Hero who needs Angels On The Moon--PLAYLIST 1

A few months ago, my Dad asked me if I wanted to start a blog, so after months of planning and not knowing what to write about I finally found it! A couple of days ago, I was laying in bed listening to the handy dandy iPod at two in the morning (hence the name of the blog). I was so tired but I just couldn’t put the darn thing with over a thousand songs down. So, I decided to create a blog about the playlist, and include some of my thoughts and poems. Which will come later. First, I want to share with you my playlist. Well, here it is, well, half of the playlist. Or maybe an eighth. Wait I did the math, it’s a fourth! Below I have the song name, the artist, and why I like the song. The name of the song is a link to where you can hear the noise(even though its all better than just noise)just click and enjoy...

1-“This Is War”-30 Seconds to Mars--I LOVE 30 Seconds to Mars, they are my favorite band. This song is especially cool with Jared’s vocals and lyrics and then the percussion, and the guitars, it’s just all amazing!

2-“Slide”-Goo Goo Dolls--This is another band that I just absolutely adore. Johnny Rzeznik really knows how to write a song, and make you wonder what it’s about. Plus, this song is just plain out catchy. It gets stuck in your head.

3-“Your Call”-Secondhand Serenade--It’s just so sweet.

4-“Hero”- Enrique Iglesias--Now I know this song is like the master of cheesy lyrics, but it’s so romantic. This is one of those songs that are on this playlist like ten times. :) couldn't find a link for the song that I liked. But I'm halfway convinced that everybody has already heard this song ten thousand times like me. :)

5-“Torn”-Natalie Imbruglia--I love this song, like all the others in the list, I don’t really know what to say, I just love this song. Number 6 and Number 5 just go together in my mind.

6-“Breathe(2AM)-Anna Nalick--This is one of those songs that I can totally relate to. With the lines “2AM and I’m still awake writing a song if I get it all down on paper it’s no longer inside of me threatening the life it belongs to” “These words are my diary screaming out loud,” those are main parts I relate to, just because I write and that’s literally the feeling you have when you show someone your work. And also it means to me, no matter what happens, just breathe.

7-“Angels On The Moon”-Thriving Ivory--Another song that I can relate to, certain lyrics at least, plus what an awesome band name. So poetic, the song lyrics, the name of the band, and the song.

8-“Loser”-Glee Cast--Yes, I am a “gleek,” through and through.

9-“If It Means A Lot To You”-A Day To Remember-This song reminds me of my cousin because she’s the one who told me about the song, and at the time she said it reminded her of her boyfriend and her.

10-”Open Your Eyes”-Snow Patrol-Amazing song, amazing lyrics, amazing everything.

11-“Gardenia”-Mandy Moore-This song speaks to me in a way of somebody totally changing herself for a guy and she neglects all the things that she loves to do all for this guy, then when they break up she rediscovers herself. A sweet song about discovery, that’s what it means to me.

12-“Miserable At Best”-Mayday Parade-Another song that I got from my cousin. What it means to me is just you can love a person with all your heart, and if they don’t love you back you’re “miserable at best.”

Thanks for reading. Look at the songs. They are all amazing songs. Even though they're all like slow, which I just realized. Leave your comments and thoughts about it. I’ll love to get them...

  1. Awesome post! I really like Anna Nalick and that song. I'll have to listen to a lot of the others for the first time, however. Thanks for the lead.
